I met the boy who had a crush on my daughter for the very first time yesterday. She’s going to kill me if she ever comes across this post but I’ll put my safety on the line to preserve a sweet memory :P.
Let’s call this boy D. He messaged my girl declaring that he likes her alot. His message freaked her out and she said to him later “do you realise my brother and Dad can read this message? You’re going to get me into trouble.” She then deleted the message but told me. I thought it was funny.
When I saw 4 boys yesterday, I asked discreetly who D was and Tyler pointed D out to me. Alannah freaked out and was shy and embarrassed that Tyler or I would say something to embarrass her. Of course we won’t.
On the way to training today, I opened up the topic “Let’s talk about D” and Alannah smiled like someone is pulling out her teeth. You know that defensive typical giggle? Yes, that.
“So do you like him or does he still like you?” Mummy asked
“Mum!! I don’t like him!!! and how am I to know if he still likes me?” Alannah response in disbelief
“Well does he still message you?”
“No, not anymore.”
“I blocked him. I blocked him a while back already.” Tyler responded out of nowhere from the back seat. As a matter of fact. I can hear the cheekiness in his voice and I know he’s smiling. I also know that he didn’t even look up from his game.
I couldn’t stop laughing. How sweet and adorable and protective is this big brother! I’m impressed!
This is the sight of them from outside .. a sight I will miss when curtain’s up. Watching TV together.
