Both my dad and my father in law speak very fondly of their mum. The light in the eyes, that smile on their face and the pride in their tone as they recall memories from the past. One of the memories they speak about with such pride is how their mum is so welcoming towards their friends, how she would cook and feed them lots of food, how warm and welcoming she makes them feel, how gentle they feel towards her as it feels like home when they are at the house.

I want to give my kids that same feeling. I want to spoil them and create that safe, happy environment they want to run home to. I want my kids and their friends to feel loved and cared for around me. I wish for all the kids in the world to feel loved and cared for.

School holidays means I have a lot of kids coming over and wanting to stay over. It makes me happy seeing them wanting to come and stay. I hope they feel at home.
