Tyler is showing his sister how it’s done. Look! Riding with no hands!

There’s not a doubt that Alannah will be attempting this move in the future. She won’t rush it, she will just do it at her own time when she feels ready. But she will do it.

She once told me that she wants to beat him.

“You know that because of your brother, you are able to achieve what you’re achieving? He’s showing you the way.”

“Ohh yeah. He sets the bar high. He’s so good.”

“I don’t mean it in a mean competing way. I just want to try and be just as good. It’s so challenging and fun.”

“Yes, Tyler sets a high standard. He works hard and so do you. You guys can be each other’s strongest support. I can tell how much you love and admire him. You always can’t wait to tell Tyler the good news. You want him to be proud of you don’t you?”

“Yes, I like sharing with taiyah. He’s really good.”

I wish I’d recorded that convo so Tyler could hear his sister’s voice and the light in her eyes. It’s full of admiration, respect and love for him. I told Tyler that although our feedback is important, it’s his “good job alannah” with a big smile that would make her heart float in the clouds. When I pointed that out to him, he smiled and glanced at her and won’t say anything. They get embarrassed and not say much but I know that they know that they adore each other and have got each other’s back. Their love for each other makes me proud.
