I returned a missed call from them. They told me they decided to go camping for 2 nights and have packed and are on their way.

“Just wait. Let me come back and you can take the car to put all the camping gears in.”

“We’re on our way already. We packed everything in the car.”

“How does it all fit?”

As soon as I asked the question, I stopped instantly and told them to have lots of fun and to send me pictures and to FaceTime me when they have everything set up.

Usually, when we go camping in the past, it’s a four wheel drive, a roof rack and a trailer filled to the top with things. I have always wondered why we need so much stuff and a believer that we only need essentials. Quoc don’t think that we bring a lot at all and all is necessary. Sometimes it’s too much for me and it puts me off from going.

Given I won’t be there to help and with such little space in the car, they can’t bring much and that’s better. They will either learn from this trip that we don’t need much to be comfortable. I know they will.

Saw this note left on my pillow when I got home. It’s so quiet that the raindrops sounded almost deafening. As the minutes of the night passes by, my mind adjusted and the raindrops sounded more soothing.
